Bybit's sign-up asks for your country of residence first, then an email address or phone number, a referral code if you have one, a captcha and a code, and finally a password. Bybit then says at least Standard identity verification is mandatory for all its products and services, and its help center table marks crypto deposits, spot trading and derivatives as unavailable without KYC. The referral code goes in during sign-up, since Bybit does not let you add, change or delete it once the account exists. Everything below was read from Bybit's own pages on 29 September 2026.

Bybit sign-up, step by step
1. Open the form
Our link opens Bybit's invitation page: a “You're invited to Bybit!” panel with an Email/Mobile Number field (Bybit's placeholder says to leave out the country code), a Referral Code (Optional) field that was already filled in, a line saying that pressing Get My Welcome Gifts means you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and that button, with Google, Apple and Telegram sign-up underneath (seen 29 September 2026). On Bybit's own homepage the route is Sign Up in the top-right corner.
2. Choose your country of residence
Bybit's guide says to select your country of residence. You may be redirected to one of its regional sites or shown a restricted-country notice.
3. Enter an email address or phone number
Bybit recommends email, and suggests a provider you will keep access to (it names Gmail, iCloud and ProtonMail). For a phone number, enter the country code and leave out the leading zero, so 090-1234-5678 becomes 9012345678. Use single-byte alphanumeric characters, and remember that each email address and mobile number can be linked to one account only.
The Sign Up With buttons work like this: Google uses the email address of your Google account; Apple (iOS) uses your Apple ID email, or a random @privaterelay.appleid.com address if you choose Hide My Email; Telegram uses the phone number linked to your Telegram account.
4. Confirm the referral code
Enter a referral or affiliate code before you click Sign Up Now; through our link it is already filled in. Bybit says the code is set at sign-up and cannot be added, modified or deleted once the account is created.
5. Captcha and verification code
Complete the recaptcha, then key in the code sent to your email address or mobile number.
6. Set the password
Enter your Bybit password. You are taken to the account dashboard, where Bybit prompts you to start identity verification.

Confirm your pre-filled referral code
On the invitation page the Referral Code (Optional) box should already hold COINPORT, and a card at the top left repeats it as “Referral Code: COINPORT” (seen 29 September 2026). The same card also shows the partner name attached to the link. Add the code when you sign up: it is already filled in through our link. Bybit's registration guide says a code cannot be added, changed or deleted once the account exists.

Bybit identity verification: Standard, Advanced and Pro
Bybit divides individual verification into three levels. What each needs, and the crypto withdrawal limit it carries:

All token limits follow the USDT-equivalent value, and Bybit says you may be asked for KYC before it approves a withdrawal request. Bybit also says Standard Individual KYC is required before you can claim rewards from its Rewards Hub.
The steps
- Click the profile icon in the navigation bar, choose Account, then Verify Now in the Identity Verification column.
- Select your country of residence, and pick it accurately: Bybit says it can influence your verification and that changing it later may need extra verification.
- Under Proof of Identity press Verify, choose the country or region that issued your ID and the document type, and photograph the document.
- Complete the face scan through your laptop camera, or scan the QR code to do it on your phone. If you cannot reach the face scan after several attempts, Bybit says the document may not meet the requirements or there have been too many submissions in a short time, and to try again after 30 minutes.
- The identity assessment normally runs automatically right afterwards, though some users get a questionnaire. Bybit says that when Standard is done you can deposit and start trading.

Documents
For proof of identity Bybit takes documents issued by your country of origin that show a photo, name, date of birth, document number and date of issue: a passport, identity card, residence permit or driving license. It does not accept a domestic passport or a student, working or travel visa, and it takes physical documents only, not e-copies or scans. Proof of address, for Advanced, must be dated within the last three months. Bybit accepts items such as utility bills, official bank statements, government residence proof, tax returns and tenancy contracts over six months, and refuses mobile phone statements, insurance documents, medical bills and bank transaction slips.
How long it takes
Bybit says generally about 15 minutes, though at times up to 48 hours. After 48 hours it asks you to submit a case and says the team will reach out within one working day. Bybit allows one KYC-verified account per person, and only the main account can be verified, not a subaccount. It also says verification restrictions follow the trader's nationality, not their current place of residence.

Bybit availability by country
Bybit's Service Restricted Countries page (updated 1 September 2026) says Bybit does not offer services or products to users in a few excluded jurisdictions, including the United States, the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, the Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine (currently including the Crimea, Donetsk, Rostov and Luhansk regions), Sevastopol, Sudan and Syria, plus Dubai for its Dubai entity only, or any other jurisdiction where it decides to end service. It also excludes people on the US Treasury's list of Specially Designated Nationals, the EU's Consolidated Financial Sanctions List and the UK Sanctions List, entities owned or controlled 50 percent or more by them, and persons in Seychelles (other than certain international business companies).

Buying crypto with One-Click Buy
Bybit's One-Click Buy FAQ (updated 28 September 2026) says individual identity verification is required and business verification is not supported. Fees depend on the currency and payment method, and Bybit points to the One-Click Buy page for each currency's minimum and maximum. Per-user limits depend on your verification level and include fiat deposits:

How to claim the Bybit rewards: the ladder on the invitation page
