What This Means
More coins means more choice, but also that your favorite small-cap coin might not be listed everywhere. Gate.io lists more than five times as many coins as OKX or Bybit.
How We Count
We count distinct base assets from each exchange's public API, not trading pairs. For example, if an exchange lists both BTC/USD and BTC/EUR, we count Bitcoin once. This gives a realistic picture of how many different coins you can buy.
